Tammie Bigley, PT, MSPT
Tammie Bigley is the Director of Women’s Health at Ascent Physical Therapy. After graduating from Indiana University in 1991, Tammie went on to receive her Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy from Boston University in 1993. She has practiced in the Carson City area since 1994, with a focus in outpatient orthopedic care.
After the birth of her 2 children, she developed an intuitive interest in women’s health issues. Since that time, she has trained with the world’s leading experts in women’s health physical therapy, and is now specializing in treating diagnoses ranging from pre and postpartum care and urinary incontinence to pelvic pain syndromes.
She has been a recipient of the Excellence in Clinical Instructor Award for the Department of Physical Therapy at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Tammie serves as a team physical therapist for the Western Nevada Community College athletic program. She is ASTYM Certified and a CoreAlign Master Instructor(CAMI).
Besides being a working mom, Tammie enjoys snowboarding and trail running and has even found time to complete a couple of marathons. She is a member of a local running club, the Tahoe Mountain Milers, which is a non-profit organization that organizes and manages several running events every year to raise money for local charities. She has also donated her time as a coach for the Tahoe Fit Marathon training program.
